Let the fun be…GIN!

On Saturday 14th September the Cancer Research Wales team welcomed over 140 guests to our brand new fundraiser G & Tea! Hosted at the Park Plaza in Cardiff the event offered supporters the opportunity to enjoy a gin themed afternoon tea whilst raising vital funds for cancer research here in Wales. The total amount raised to date at this event is an incredible £7,502.00!

Cancer Research Wales is an independent welsh charity funding world-class research into the early diagnosis, better treatment and prevention. Every penny raised at G & Tea will be supporting life changing research taking place across Wales.

Purple Era

We were delighted to welcome our headline sponsor Purple Era and Patron of Cancer Research Wales, Jacquie Williams. Purple Era coaching focuses on specific personal projects and goals, particularly when a transition or change is occurring in your personal life, relationships or profession.

Jacquie welcomed guests with an inspirational speech discussing her personal experiences and the importance of early diagnosis and research. Finishing with her famous strap line “Zap Cancer.”

An Afternoon to remember

Following a delicious cocktail guests browsed the many stalls the event had to offer before sitting down to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea. The afternoon was hosted by Cancer Research Wales Ambassador and ITV Wales Weather presenter Ruth Wignall who captivated our guests and shared stories of her recent challenge for Cancer Research Wales trekking across Iceland.

Diolch yn fawr iawn

Cancer Research Wales as an independent charity who receives no government funding relies completely on the generosity of our incredible supporters. Thank you to everyone who supported the G & Tea fundraiser and made this event possible.
