Statement: Cancer Research Wales Net-Walking – Postponed (18 March 2020)

We are getting in touch to let you know that we are postponing the Cancer Research Wales Net-walking event, which was scheduled to take place on 02 April 2020.

The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to dominate the news and is causing impact around the world. Having monitored the situation closely, in the interests of the health and safety of our supporters and beneficiaries, we have taken the difficult but responsible decision to postpone the event until later in the year.

We know that this news will come as a disappointment and we promise to update you on any developments as soon as possible. We will also post regular updates on our website and social media channels.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. We are proud to be Wales’ independent cancer research charity, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all of your support in helping us raise vital funds to create better outcomes for everyone affected by cancer in Wales.

The work of our pioneering scientists are transforming how people with cancer are diagnosed and treated, helping more people survive cancer than ever before. The health of our beneficiaries, their friends and families has always been at the forefront of what we do and that will never change.

If you have any further queries please contact Major Partnerships Manager Katie Killoran on 0773 820 9075 or email Katie.killoran@wales.nhs.uk
