Statement: Skydive The Big Welsh Jump – Postponed (24 March 2020)

We are getting in touch to let you know that we are postponing ‘The Big Welsh Jump’ Skydive event, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday 19th April 2020.

The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to dominate the news and is causing impact around the world. Having monitored the situation closely, in the interests of the health and safety of our supporters and beneficiaries, we have taken the difficult but responsible decision to postpone the event until later in the year.

We know how disappointing this news will be for those of you who have been busy raising funds ahead of the dive. Therefore, we promise to update you again on any changes and developments as soon as possible. We will also post regular updates on our website and social media channels.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to thank our supporters, volunteers and event partners who are all working incredibly hard to ensure we can continue to raise vital funds to create better outcomes for everyone affected by cancer in Wales.

The work of our pioneering scientists are transforming how people with cancer are diagnosed and treated, helping more people survive cancer than ever before. The health of our beneficiaries, their friends and families has always been at the forefront of what we do and that will never change.

If you have any further queries please contact, Events Manager Dale Evans on dale.evans2@wales.nhs.uk
