The Value of a Wedding Dress

We are hopeless romantics at Cancer Research Wales… we can create personalised wedding favours for your special day and we have an exclusive Bridal shop based in Whitchurch, Cardiff called Pritchard & Moore.

Pritchard and Moore opened in 2016. For several years we operated a bridal showroom on the first floor of our existing shop in Whitchurch, because of the fantastic donations that we received from former brides, and bridal stores who wanted to make a difference by donating their end of line stock. Our brides loved the showroom, and that their purchase was supporting an essential charity. They wanted the exclusive bridal store experience whilst making a difference, and so in July 2016 fueled by the success of our previous showroom, Pritchard & Moore was opened. Named after two eminent scientists and Cancer Research Wales Trustees, the store is making a vital difference to our funding capabilities in Wales.

What is the value of a wedding dress?

At Cancer Research Wales, within Pritchard & Moore, a wedding dress is sold in a beautiful environment. Once it is sold, that income will support pioneering cancer research – research which aims to prevent cancer, improve treatments and brings us that one step closer to a cure. So what is the value of a wedding dress?… In our opinion, it’s priceless.

How can you help?

We are asking former brides to make a vital contribution, and consider donating the dress they wore on their special day to Cancer Research Wales. You can also make your donation extra special by Gift aiding your dress, so that on its sale, we can raise an additional 25% from the government’s Gift Aid scheme.

Your dress could make a world of difference
