We regret to announce the cancellation of this year’s 2020 Charity Golf Day, which was due to take place on 24 September.
In light of the recent escalation of Covid cases in South Wales leading to the Government to put in regulations to minimise the spread of the virus, it was felt that we were no longer able to deliver the event as planned. In the interests of the health and safety of our staff and supporters, we have therefore taken the difficult but responsible decision to cancel the event this year.
We know that this news will come as a disappointment, and we hope that we will soon be in position to organise similar events and help raise vital funds in support of cancer patients in Wales.
If you were due to take part and would like more information, please contact Katie Killoran – firstname.lastname@example.org
The format of the day will be teams of four golfers playing better ball golf using the stableford scoring system. The cost of each team is £250 and includes a round of golf, refreshments throughout the day and evening buffet. We have reserved the tee time from 11am until 4pm which allows 30 teams to participate using a full handicap allowance. Teams of 4 will be competing for the Geoff Williams Trophy for the highest scoring team (top 2 scores on each hole) and the Ian Parker trophy for the four sealed holes.
This year will be in Memory of John Moore our recent President of Cancer Research Wales. John sadly passed away of Bowel Cancer in late 2019.
Our headline sponsor for this exciting event is Egan Waste Services. Thank you for your support.
Thank you also to Reginald Moore Ltd who have kindly sponsored our Catering at the event and Berry Smith Lawyers for sponsoring the Green Fees:
