Kilimanjaro Trek 2021

Have you ever imagined what it feels like to be 20,000ft in the air, yet still on the ground?

Stop imagining, it’s happening and you can be a part of it.

Cancer Research Wales are teaming up with Global Adventure Challenges to take on the World’s highest free-standing mountain, Kilimanjaro.

Join us as we climb the Machame route that approaches from the South – trekking through savannah, cloud forest, moorland and alpine desert, before reaching the snow-capped summit for a truly unforgettable experience.

The trip is 11 days in total, with the trek itself taking 7 days to complete. We will be trekking between 6km and 13km per day, whilst sleeping in tents at campsites along the way. Our route has been designed allowing gradual acclimatisation to the altitude, and with the exceptional support and care of Global Adventure Challenges, combined with highly trained leaders and medics, we will conquer the toughest of treks together as one.

This bespoke challenge will not only leave memories for a lifetime, but will also help to fund world class cancer research happening here in Wales.
