MACHU PICCHU – Inca Trail Trek 2018

Join Cancer Research Wales as we embark on our most mystical trek to date.

On the 21st September 2018, you will travel from London to Cusco to undertake a 10 day challenge of trekking one of the most popular trails in the world: the amazing Inca Trail of Machu Picchu.

Exceptionally challenging, the Inca Trail reaches an altitude of over 4,200 m. However, once you eventually reach Machu Picchu (lost city of the Incas), it is all worthwhile.

By day we will embark on trails that will lead us through the majestic Sun Gate. This incredible experience consists of hiking through sub-tropical vegetation and embracing snow-capped peaks such as Pituitary, Sahuasiray and many more.

You will see spectacular views of river valleys such as Phuyupatamarca – “the town at the edge of the clouds” – and reach the lost city, gathering memories that will never be forgotten.

You will make friends for life in our welcoming groups, where everyone works together to complete this once in a lifetime bucket-list experience.

The Cancer Research Wales Machu Picchu – Inca Trail Trek 2018 will appeal to all fitness levels, so you don’t need to be an athlete or super fit to take part in this challenge – people from all walks of life will be participating with you.

Not only will you experience one of the 7 new wonders of the world, but you will help raise vital funds into early diagnosis, better treatments and preventative medicines of cancer.

Unfortunately, this event is now SOLD OUT! However, please contact the fundraising team should you wish to learn about a brand new overseas trek happening in 2019.
