Professor Jeremy Cheadle

Jerry has a long-standing international reputation in Medical genetic research and has helped to identify both high and low risk genes that predispose to bowel cancer. His laboratory has a strong track record in translating basic research into clinical practice which was highlighted in the award of the Queens Anniversary Prize to the Institute of Medical Genetics in 2007/8. His group is currently searching for gene variants that influence how a patient responds to chemotherapy and biological therapy in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.
